Required Study Materials

The PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Pak includes everything needed to complete the course – including a pocket mask. You will learn to think like a rescue diver and practice the exercises with your PADI Instructor. After completing the course, you can review the materials to refresh your safety techniques. This toolkit of knowledge and techniques will prepare you to handle almost any diving emergency.

Prerequisites

To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must:

Be at least 12 years old.

Be a certified Adventure Diver (or hold an equivalent recognized qualification from another training organization).

Have completed a CPR and first aid course within the past two years. (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response courses).

Your Next Adventure

After completing the CPR, first aid, and Rescue Diver courses, you should take the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course. These three courses together significantly enhance your ability to handle emergency situations while diving.
