Administer emergency oxygen.

Diving Equipment Used

Learning Materials Needed

The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider manual is an essential component of this training program. Before hands-on practice, you will review detailed explanations on when and how to administer emergency oxygen. You will also study safety considerations, as well as how to set up and disassemble oxygen equipment.

The "Emergency Care at a Glance" card is a practical guide you can keep in your oxygen kit or dive bag and refer to periodically to stay prepared for emergencies.

To purchase these learning materials, contact your PADI Instructor, dive shop, or dive club.

Prerequisites

Although designed for divers, this course has no prerequisites and does not include any dives; this means non-diving support personnel – boat crew, non-diving friends, and shore staff – can also take this course. CPR and first aid training are not required to enroll.

Your Next Adventure

The Emergency First Response course, covering CPR and first aid, complements the Emergency Oxygen Provider course. Make sure to complete your Rescue Diver course and earn your Master Scuba Diver rating to be the most prepared dive buddy.
