The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Theory development (online, self-study at home, or classroom sessions) to understand basic scuba diving principles.

Confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills.

Open water dives to practice skills and explore the underwater world!

If you've already done a Discover Scuba Diving experience or an introductory dive at a dive center, your skills may count toward your PADI Open Water Diver certification.

Scuba Gear You Use

Prerequisites

To enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must:

Be at least 10 years old (PADI eLearning requires a minimum of 13 years old due to international online protection laws).
