The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't ready to commit to a full certification course, Discover Scuba Diving allows you to determine if you enjoy scuba diving. Most PADI dive centers offer a version of this program, either in a pool or in open water. You can try it near home or on your next vacation.
Although it’s not a scuba certification, the Discover Scuba Diving experience helps you learn how to use scuba gear in shallow water and provides a quick and easy introduction to exploring the underwater world.
The Fun Part
Nothing compares to taking your first breath underwater. It takes a bit of getting used to – after all, humans aren’t designed to breathe underwater – but after a few minutes of wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving is. The biggest challenge for instructors isn’t getting participants into the water but getting them out when the experience ends. The fun part? Everything!
