PADI Divemaster Course
Do you want to take the first step toward a professional diving career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you will expand your diving knowledge and improve your skills to a professional level. The PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise diving activities and assist instructors with student divers. The PADI Divemaster certification is a prerequisite for enrolling in the PADI Assistant Instructor and Open Water Scuba Instructor courses.

You can earn college credit for the PADI Divemaster course.
What You Learn
Throughout the PADI Divemaster program, you will learn to lead diving activities through independent study and classroom sessions. You will refine your diving skills and perform endurance exercises that enhance your organizational and problem-solving abilities, as well as your ability to assist others in improving their diving skills. You will apply this knowledge in a structured internship or through practical training exercises.
What You Can Teach
Certified PADI Divemasters are authorized to:
Supervise both training and non-training diving activities.
Assist a PADI Instructor during training sessions for all PADI courses.
Conduct PADI Skin Diver and Discover Snorkeling programs.
Conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experience.
Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program.
Lead Discover Scuba Diving (if qualified as a Discover Scuba Diving Leader).
Guide certified divers on dive trips.
Equipment You Will Use
You will use basic scuba gear along with some accessories like a dive slate, compass, dive knife, and timing device.

The PADI Divemaster Crew-Pak includes all required materials, including:
PADI Divemaster Manual
PADI Instructor Manual
The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving
Divemaster slates
Dive logbook
Prerequisites
To enroll, you must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Be a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
Be a certified PADI Rescue Diver.
Have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care training within the last 24 months.
Have logged at least 40 dives before starting and 60 upon certification.
Be in good physical condition and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months.
