The PADI Adventure Diver Course

The PADI Adventure Diver course allows you to enjoy diving even more by discovering new types of underwater adventures. It’s an opportunity to improve your diving skills with the help of your instructor so you feel more comfortable.

The Fun Part

Have you always wanted to try underwater photography or wreck diving? Then this course is perfect for you because you can try three specialty dives of your choice. Test the ones you like and become more comfortable underwater while improving your diving skills and enjoying your dives like never before.

Earn Credit!

Each Adventure Dive can be credited as the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty course. This means you are already on your way to becoming a Master Scuba Diver.

What You Learn

You can choose the area that interests you. Would you like to perfect your buoyancy control? Try the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive. Want to learn more about what you see underwater? Try the AWARE - Fish Identification Adventure Dive.

Equipment You Will Use

You will use all basic scuba gear, including your underwater compass. Depending on your chosen Adventure Dives, you may also use underwater photography equipment, a scooter (DPV), a dive light, a dry suit, lift bags, a dive flag/float, or other specialty equipment.

Required Learning Materials

The PADI Adventures in Diving Manual and DVD provide information on over 16 types of PADI specialties. You will use them as a guide to enhance your diving techniques and prepare for new experiences and adventures.

Prerequisites

To take this course, you must:

Be a certified PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver (or hold a recognized equivalent qualification).

Be at least 15 years old (10 years old for Junior Adventure Divers).

Your Next Adventure

Once you have earned the PADI Adventure Diver certification, take the next step by completing two additional Adventure Dives. If you complete a total of five Adventure Dives, including Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, you become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
