That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course represents. Plus, you don’t need to be “experienced” to take it—it’s designed so you can enroll right after your PADI Open Water Diver course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps develop your diving skills so you feel more comfortable in the water.

It’s a fun way to gain more diving experience while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor.

Earn academic credit.

You can earn academic credit for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.

This course builds on what you’ve already learned and enhances your skills by introducing new activities and ways to enjoy diving.

Improve your skills by completing five Adventure Dives that introduce you to:

Underwater navigation.

Deep diving (typically 18-30 meters/60-100 feet deep). And three additional Adventure Dives of your choice.

The fun part:

One of the best parts of the Advanced Open Water Diver course is that you and your instructor choose from 15 Adventure Dives to complete your course.

Earn credit!

Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be credited as the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty course.
